We would like to thank Social Inclusion Ballarat for their support and allocation of grant funding for making these scholarship possible.

The Art Club Hub Social Inclusion Scholarship Program will commence in February 2027. It will provide 8 weeks of fully funded art classes for 10 individuals per term in 2027. Our goal is to provide access to art classes for those who would otherwise be unable to access them due to financial hardship or other barriers to participation.

The program is designed to support people who may be at a greater risk of social isolation, including neurodivergent individuals, people living with a disability, young people, single parent families and families experiencing financial hardship.

Scholarship recipients will attend our inclusive weekly art classes alongside students of their age. All art materials are supplied as well as the opportunity to exhibit the artwork in our end-of-term art exhibition. 

More than just art classes, our programs provide a welcoming community where participants can build confidence, develop friendships, express themselves creatively and experience a genuine sense of belonging. ​

Who is eligible?

Applicants should:​

​

• Have a genuine interest in creative arts and be keen to participate in art activities throughout the full 8-week program. No previous art experience or particular level of artistic ability is required.

• Be experiencing financial, social or personal circumstances that may make accessing regular paid art classes difficult.

• Benefit from opportunities to connect with others, build confidence and participate in a welcoming community environment.​

• Be able to participate in our guided group art lessons with a reasonable level of independence, including following instructions and taking part in activities within a group setting. (Participants who require additional assistance are very welcome to attend with their own support person or carer. Our Art Club Hub teachers are there to provide art instruction, encouragement and general classroom assistance in a group setting, but are unable to provide dedicated one-to-one personal support).

We understand that everyone's circumstances are different. Applicants do not need to provide extensive personal or financial information to demonstrate that they are deserving of a place. Our aim is simply to ensure scholarship places reach people who will genuinely benefit from the opportunity and are interested in being part of the program.
