FAQ's

What is The Art Cub Hub all about?

As previous 'Arty Kids', Erin & Leah are creating the club they would have loved to attend after school. A place to be creative and learn new techniques and explore new mediums. All while having fun with like-minded friends.

What will Term classes look like?

These classes focus on teaching children art elements and principles through a fun exploration of different mediums and themes. They will use acrylic and watercolour paints as well as watercolour pencils (and the usual stationary supplies they will be more familiar with).

Your Art Coaches will encourage you to explore your learnings further in your 'Art Club Hub Book' between lessons and share your creative process when you return the following week.

We will also spend this term getting to know the unique talents of our little artists and planning to extend their individual skills.

Who are our Art Coaches?

The Art Club Hub is the joint arty venture of Leah Haynes (who you may know from Mia & Talbot) and Erin Robinson (who you may know from Artbrush). Both artists who also have teaching degrees. We are passionate about creating more opportunities for 'Arty Kids' (like we once were!)

Can we do make-up classes if we miss a class during the term?

If you will miss a class due to a pre-scheduled appointment, let us know in advance and we will try to book you into another class time that week if possible.

This will only be available if we have the space at the time.

Can I stay with my child for lessons?

Absolutely, pull up a chair and watch the lesson if you think your little one might need some moral support. We understand that this is a big step for some little artists and we welcome a parent/carer into class.

My child is in grade prep but I think they're ready to sign up for art class. Is that ok?

If you think your child is ready and loves art then you are welcome to sign them up for a junior class. We will aim the activities to their level and assist as much as we can, when needed.

Where are lessons held?

We will be using a room at Eastwood Leisure Centre (20 Eastwood Street Ballarat). As you enter through the front doors, turn left at reception to find our room MEETING ROOM 4 (look for our Art Club Hub Banner).

Our room is nice and spacious and includes sink facilities for easy clean-up

Do you have teen and adult classes?

We have just introduced our adult classes on Monday evenings and we love them! Our teen classes will be added in 2024. Hope to see you there!

Can we join mid-term?

Listings will be adjusted throughout the term. If there are available spaces you are welcome to book mid-term.
