Art Coach
We’re looking for a warm, enthusiastic Art Coach to support and inspire junior artists aged 5 - 9 in 2026. This role is perfect for someone who has an art or teaching background and enjoys working with children of all abilities. In this role you will guide young artists through fun, confidence-building art experiences in a relaxed and welcoming environment. If you’re patient, encouraging, and passionate about helping others explore their creativity, we’d love to hear from you.

Job Title: Children's Art Coach
Location: The Art Club Hub, 80 Bridge Mall Ballarat Central.
Position Type: Casual
Hours: Wednesday evenings during school term (3:45 - 6:45pm) with the possibility to add extra evenings as our classes expand. Some weekend and/or School holiday work may also be available.

We’re on the lookout for an enthusiastic and creative Art Coach to lead some of our fun-filled after-school art clubs in Term 1 and beyond!
What you’ll be doing:

Facilitate our pre-planned art lessons. Demonstrate the use of art materials such as pencil, pastels, watercolour and acrylic paints. Offer guidance to students using different art elements, principles and techniques.

Create a fun and supportive atmosphere where every student feels inspired to express themselves. Share plenty of positive feedback and encouragement.

Set up and pack down the art supplies and workspace.

Some retail sales in our Art Shop when required.

Qualities we are looking for:​

Experience working with children: If you’ve worked with kids before and loved it, we want to hear from you! Experience in a similar setting is a plus. Perhaps you are a teacher or studying to be one.

An interest in art and a passion for showing kids how amazing creativity can be.

Be ready to engage and motivate our young artists with your friendly and clear communication.

Your patience and positivity will help create a fun and encouraging environment for our students.

Keep the class activities and materials flowing smoothly with your superb organizational skills.
